The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing successful events. This includes managing all logistical aspects and creating a positive and memorable experience for attendees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop event proposals and budgets.
- Research and secure event venues, vendors (catering, decorations, entertainment, etc.), and necessary permits.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage vendor relationships.
- Create event timelines and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
- Coordinate event logistics, including setup, registration, AV, and catering.
- Manage on-site event execution and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Evaluate event success and provide post-event reports.
- Manage event budgets and track expenses.
- Promote events through various channels (social media, email marketing, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and budgeting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred.
